Real Madrid TV has programming based mainly on the first team of both the soccer and basketball sections.

The rest of the workforce belonged to the audiovisual media company Royal Media, a subsidiary of Mediapro.

Subsequently, the ownership of the channel was shared equally by Sogecable and Real Madrid who created the "Real Madrid TV" company for this purpose.

Since July 1, 2019, SuperSport (Mediaset subsidiary) and Telefónica manage and produce the channel, relieving Mediapro after 18 years.
